Three-Way Air Valve
Part #K02-004 is a 3-way, normally closed 12V air solenoid valve with a built-in manual bypass. This type of valve is commonly used on bobtails, bulk transports, and bulk plants as an emergency means to close valves, as well as many other applications.
The addition of the bypass can save time when troubleshooting problems in the system. A simple 180o clockwise turn with a small screwdriver twists an internal cam, manually lifting the air valve plunger which allows passage of air.
Turn the screw counter-clockwise to rest against the stop; the valve is back to normal position and can be operated by 12V.
Other Features: The vent hole located in the top of the coil has ten very small holes rather than one larger opening. This is to help prevent insects and other debris from packing the opening and restricting or blocking valve bleed-down.
The coil will now lock in one of four 90o positions rather than rotate 360o freely.
